ACCA Fundamental Stage

ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the world's most widely recognized international professional association. This association includes 432,000 students and 154,000 members from 170 countries.

 At present ACCA students and members of Azerbaijan are working in large domestic and foreign companies, financial and audit institutions.

ACCA FUNDAMENTALS

Fundamentals stage is divided into two modules: Knowledge and Skills. Knowledge module (F1-F3) introduces students to fundamentals of financial and management accounting. The Skills Module (F4-F9) consists of six subjects that cover the main technical areas that each accountant should master, regardless of future career plans. These subjects include law, effectiveness, taxation, submission of financial statements, audit and financial management.

 Knowledge module

F1 Accountant in Business (AB) - (3 months - 40 hours)
F2 Management Accounting (MA) - (3 months - 40 hours)
F3 Financial Accounting (FA) - (3 months - 60 hours)

Skills module

F4 Corporate and Business Law (CL) - (3 months -40 hours)
F5 Performance Management (PM) - (3 months -40 hours)
F6 Taxation (TX) - (3 months -40 hours)
F7 Financial Reporting (FR) - (3 months -44 hours)
F8 Audit and Assurance (AA) - (3 months -40 hours)
F9 Financial Management (FM) - (3 months -40 hours)

Note: Knowledge module (F1-F3) introduces students to fundamentals of financial and management accounting. The Skills Module (F4-F9) consists of six subjects that cover the main technical areas that each accountant should master, regardless of future career plans. These subjects include law, effectiveness, taxation, submission of financial statements, audit and financial management.

 Transition Ball 50% of  (100%) of all subjects. Candidates can give up to four exams without breaking the sequence of subjects in an exam session. Knowledge module exams last for 2 hours. They are computed-based (the results are instantly known) as well as traditional examination on paper. The Skills module will last 3 hours and 15 minutes, and these exams will include a variety of questions, including short answer questions, extended computational exercises, essays, scenarios, and examples based on non-typical events.

To qualify for a Certified Accountant, you will need all 14 exams. All ACCA programs are completed in 2-3 years, with 2-3 exams per session. You must meet the requirements of ACCA's practical experience and complete the online Vocational Ethics module. Practical work is a 3 year accounting experience under the employer's guidance. This experience can be obtained before ACCA, during the ACCA, or after ACCA.
